Happy Friday. Today I’m finishing this weeks beauty related posts with something that’s more of a niche product. This post is for blondes. Naturally, I have very dark hair but since the early days of college have been a blonde. From the first time I got blonde highlights almost a decade ago, I’ve always felt more natural and confident in this hair color. Having dark hair feels so unnatural to me and I’m never satisfied with my look when my hair is it’s natural shade. My mom is a hairdresser so I’m fortunate that she makes the upkeep and maintenance of my blonde hair convenient. Being a bleached blonde does have it’s secrets, and if you’re in the club, you’re always looking for new ways to keep your color natural looking and as blonde as possible.

My mom has always told me that’s it’s a lot of work for her to process my hair to this level and that during the interim, I have to use the correct products to maintain it and keep it looking healthy and natural. Of course, I never took her advice and more than once found that a few weeks after getting my color treatment, that my roots started to turn a brassy almost orange color. This is the absolute WORST! The preventive and the cure to this is blue shampoo and conditioner. I know it sounds so strange to put a deep violet blue colored product on blonde hair. But, the ingredients of the shampoo and conditioner help to neutralize the the yellow and orange tones that come through from the natural hair which creates the brassy color.

I came across Hask’s Blue Chamomile Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner collection and decided to try it. I’m a huge fan of Hask’s other products and had trust in knowing that their Blonde Care set would keep away that unwanted brassy color. With these products, it’s not necessary to use every time I wash my hair. I look it more as a maintenance or a treatment and only use the trio weekly. So I don’t forget to do this, I pick a day of the week and use the Blue Chamomile and Argan Oil set then. Friday is my blue day because I know that’s when I always wash my hair so that it’s looking it’s best before the weekend.

Another additive that sets Hask’s Blue Chamomile line apart from other blue shampoos and conditioners is that it’s infused with Argan Oil which helps give my often dry blonde hair the natural oil and moisture that it needs. And because I try to skip a few days in between washing my hair so as not to be so harsh on the blonde, I use Hask’s new Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo for that extra pick-up when my hair looks flat and limp in between wash days.

So for those of you that know the struggles of being a blonde, I hope this post helps and inspires you!

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend xo
