You might have seen earlier in the week I posted a selfie on ig (see here) wearing these clear and white frames from glassesshop.com; so today I’m posting another look with those same frames. If you know me, then you know that I wear contact lenses  but love to occasionally style a chic pair of prescription eyeglasses with an outfit. I fell in love with this clear and white pair because it’s not a shape, color or style I currently own. I tend to gravitate toward bigger bold dark colored frames, but loved the minimalist look that these frames have about them. I popped the upper white color of the frames with my accessories and kept the look chic, sleek and simple. I actually ended up wearing these glasses all weekend and for a more casual look, styled them with jeans, a tan trench, sneakers and a black and white striped top. It’s so much fun picking out an outfit around a pair of glasses, and I can’t wait to do it again this weekend.

I’m slowly adding to my prescription eyewear collection, and I will admit that it’s somewhat addicting. It’s great to have a variety of styles as a go-to for days when my eyes feel too dry to wear contact lenses or if I just want a pair to add extra style to a look. Glassesshop.com is my go to when choosing new frames because they offer cheap glasses complete with scratch proof prescription lenses, a case and a polish cloth. I also love the sunglasses option which can also be ordered with a prescription lens. See my last style post with glassesshop.com here.

The Knotted Chain readers receive half off of their first order with glassesshop.com by checking out with code gshot50 which also includes free prescription lenses.

Thanks for stopping by my page xo

I love that hemline of your skirt and the oversized envelope clutch. I really want to find some fun sunglasses in this marble style, it’s so pretty!

Thank you Lindsay- it’s amazing how much a simple pair of glasses can change a whole look- they also have this style in other colors 🙂 xo

I love this outfit and those glasses are adorable on you!! I had Lasik surgery a few years ago and hated glasses when I had to wear them. Now I kind of miss not being able to wear cute frames like these! 🙂

Thank you Kacie! I appreciate the kind words 🙂 Yes, I’ve looked into Lasik also but the timing wasn’t right, but it still seems like a great option. Even though you don’t need frames, you could always style a non-prescription pair, I’m sure you’ll look fab in any pair!

Those glasses are really lovely, Kim. But I particularly like that sweater/tee; the nude colour is wonderful with the striped skirt. So glad it’s not just me who views glasses as accessories:)

Thank you so much Sue! The nude top is such a great go-to, esp when you have bottoms that are more busy, the two contrast so nicely. Yessssss haha glasses are most definitely an accessory even if they are first a necessity, who says styling them can’t be fun haha thanks for reading! xo
