This weekend I was out and about and driving along a main street in my town that is lined with cherry blossom trees. Most of them had already fell and started to turn green, however there was this small patch that was still very much in bloom so I decided to pull over and shoot by them. The pink blooms started to fall and completely covered the ground which made for some very floral and springy photos plus I love how the black of the dress pops against the pink.

At first glance, this Maggy London dress seems like a piece that can only be worn for more formal occasions and instinctively, you might want to wear it with a pair of heels. But, I think this dress has potential to go either way, and I decided to style it very casual so that I could enjoy wearing it as an everyday piece. The length is perfect for sandals and I added accents of color pops because the black allows for almost any type of styling. I pulled my hair in a quick pony, added turquoise earrings and a pair of av’s so that I could feel relaxed while wearing this dress on a nice Saturday afternoon while slowly checking off the errands on my to-do list.

Such a lovely dress! Great styling of it. I love looks that mix things up, whether it’s casual/dressy, or low/high end.

Thanks, Jo! I agree completely- it’s a nice balance to have an outfit consisting of high and low-end pieces.
