Happy 4th of July! This is hands-down my favorite summer holiday. It’s the mid-point of summer when its warm everyday and we pretty much already have our tans. We’ve always had bbq’s on this holiday for as long as I can remember so I’m excited to go to my nana’s for hers tomorrow; esp because she makes the best homemade potato salad.
I shot this look and it wasn’t intentional for me to even shoot this dress. I bought it recently at the J.Crew Factory store and was saving it wear this particularly this weekend. It was hot today and I was looking to wear something casual and cute, but mainly comfortable. We got home from the city this morning and I’ve kind of just been lounging around relaxing. My dad had his blue MG-B parked outside and I thought it was the perfect backdrop for this dress.
If you follow my insta, you saw that I was in Philly yesterday for a wedding. We stayed the night so that we could enjoy some of the city this morning. We ended up getting a quick breakfast a Reading Terminal (it’s a must-do if you travel to Philly) and walked around a little bit before leaving. I’ve always wanted to visit Philly for the 4th, but never made it, so I was happy to finally be in the city where the Declaration of Independence was signed for the holiday. The city was more packed than usual and the sightseeing tour buses were out in full force.
Glad to be back in the suburbs for the backyard bbq’s and fireworks though.
Hope you guys enjoy the day. Thanks for reading!
