Back to Monday, again! I swear the weekends fly by and they’re getting busier and busier. This past weekend I went to one of my best friend’s housewarming party but it mainly consisted of errands. With busy weekends, especially days when it’s just constantly on the go, I tend to choose a simpler look. Sometimes a t-shirt, jeans and a jacket are the perfect combination of comfort and style. Adding other elements to the look pull it together too.
Recently, I posted about a new site I discovered called Fitcode (see post here). They take all of the guessing out of shopping online for jeans, which I think is one of the hardest pieces to buy online. Fitcode realizes this which is why their homepage greets you with a prompt to take the Fitcode quiz. You answer questions about your body type in four categories which narrows down their vast selection of denim to the pairs that would most compliment your shape and size while accommodating your problem areas, such as slight gaping at the waist. My quiz resulted in recommendations for a few pairs and I opted for the Jag Jeans portia mid-rise straight leg. If you read my blog you know that I’m a huge Jag Jeans girl so this quiz was pretty much on point. These jeans fit really well in all areas (ie butt, waist and thighs) and the length is perfect. Black jeans are a classic and never go out of style so this pair will be on rotation for fall.
Though my look is simple, other aspects pull it together to give it style. A manicure is one of the things I always leave the house with. Though getting my nails done is a treat, I most often do them myself. The polish I’m wearing is perfect for fall, its a cross between red and orange and every time I look down at them the color makes me feel good. If you’re a self-mani girl too, I highly recommend this nail polish from Odeme. The paint goes on smooth and shiny and it dries very quickly. This color is called ‘Cuba Libre’. I added a last minute scarf with color to give the look a bit of a pop. The scarves are so cute, loving the one with the lips on it, and they come in a four pack- also from Odeme. The scarves are lightweight and full of color, perfect for tying to your handbag or wearing on your neck or wrist.
Be sure to take the Fitcode quiz to see what brands and styles are recommended for you!
