It’s that time of year when travel season really starts to pick up. It’s always fun to get away even if it’s an overnight stay somewhere close or a plane trip to an island for the week. Either way, packing is essential and comes with the territory. Honestly, this is the only aspect of vacation that tends to stress me out. For starters, suitcase room is always an issue for me even though I try to pack light and to save room for souvenirs. Along the way I’ve learned that shoes are the most bulky so I try to pack a pair of heels and casual flats to go with all of my looks. I also buy travel sized products when I can and pack them together in a toiletry bag to save my sanity when unpacking and to keep everything organized. My mom also taught me the art of rolling your clothes instead of packing them flat to save room and to keep them from getting wrinkled. And I never travel without a portable charger for my phone, also linked below, this is the best portable charger btw, it’ll easily charge your phone fully at least twice. Packing aside, the destination is always the best part so packing should not be something to get you down. Below I curated a few packing essentials that always make the process easier for me, including treating myself to a new accessory or two for the trip.

I’ve collaborated with Homeaway to come up with the Top 5 Beach Trip Essentials, just in case you need some packing inspo for your next warm weather trip. Homeaway ties in perfectly with your next travel must-have list because they’re such a great option for planning your next vacay. One spot that gets a lot of action this time of year is Pensacola Beach – it’s such a pretty location! Homeaway partners with homeowners who are looking to rent their homes for others to use for vacation. The purpose of this is to make your next vacay feel more spacious, private and more of that relaxation feeling of being home. They’re a really great company and I love the idea of them playing the middle man to handling dates, rentals and payments. Such a great concept for planning vacations, I can’t wait to use them when booking my next trip.

i used to get really stressed about packing, too. now i can do it last minute and it doesn’t really bother me. i know i’ll forget something, and thats ok. maybe i should make a permanent list on my evernote or something so i don’t have to think about it each time. hmmm.

Amber- that’s a great idea- the permanent packing list to avoid forgetting anything essential. I agree, I try not to stress out about packing either, esp if it comes to forgetting a shirt or a simple convenient store item, it’s easily replaceable and so not worth the aggravation because vacay is for relaxing right??! Thanks!

Hi Rachel- thanks for the link-up opportunity- I def look forward to it. And thanks for the kind words- it’s always good to travel so often and packing is definitely an art, but the more we do it the better we get, and that’s an excuse enough for me to take a relaxing vacay lol
