Personal Wine Princess Bride Chardonnay and Cabernet c/o

Valentine’s Day is this weekend but since this holiday is about spending it with the people you care about in your life, I wanted to host a small wine and Galentine’s get together with a few of my besties. So, this past Saturday Tiff and Jess stopped by to celebrate with a late afternoon brunch of chocolate and wine- both are our fav’s!

Sticking with the cute and girly theme, I opted for this amazing Princess Bride wine gift set by Personal Wine. These special edition bottles are a tribute to the 28th anniversary of The Princess Bride but it also happens to be one of our favorite classics, so this set was perfect. I also liked the fact that it came with Chardonnay and Cabernet so I didn’t have to make the decision of choosing which. The white was so light and delicious and the red had just a hint of sweetness and wasn’t as dry as cab’s typically are, which I love.

Two bottles was just the right amount for us as we sipped, snacked and gossiped the afternoon away. To compliment the wine, I put out mini vanilla cupcakes, pink m&m’s, heart-shaped chocolate and lightly salted popcorn. I also added a few arrangements of fresh flowers and pink napkins to add that special touch to table spread.

I really enjoyed hosting this little get together and it was so simple and easy, I’m thinking that I should make this a regular occurrence. I ordered the wine online via Personal Wine and had it shipped right to my door step and the snacks were quick grabs that I got on my weekly grocery run. It can be hard to coordinate schedules on the weekends to try and set aside time to get together to catch-up but so glad it worked out this past weekend, it’s such a good feeling!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend! xo

Also had to add this candid moment of when we moved to the couch to snack and catch up on last week’s episode of The Bachelor 🙂
